After graduating from Amherst College, Olivia Katrandjian moved to Bangkok, Thailand and traveled through Vietnam, Laos, China, Hong Kong, and South Korea while writing a travel column for The Bergen Record. Olivia then joined the Armenian Volunteer Corps and moved to Yerevan, Armenia, where she worked as a journalist for the Civilitas Foundation and wrote for The Los Angeles Times and PBS Frontline.
Her work has also appeared on ABCNews.com, The Huffington Post, The BBC and The Christian Science Monitor, among other publications. She has visited 34 countries on six continents and written about several of them.
For four years, Olivia worked as a reporter for Retro Report, producing short documentary films distributed by The New York Times.
Olivia moved to Luxembourg in 2016 to write her first book, a historical fiction novel about a deception unit in World War II.
